About Smoky Threads
Smoky Threads is a Knoxville, Tennessee apparel brand for people who spend their weekends on two wheels, on foot, or on the water in the Great Smoky Mountains. We design original graphic tees inspired by East Tennessee trails, rivers, and landmarks, then print each one on demand.
Why Smoky Threads
We started Smoky Threads because the shirts we found never matched the place we actually ride, hike, and paddle. Knoxville and the Smokies have their own culture — mountain bikers grinding up Sharp’s Ridge, hikers logging miles in the national park, paddlers putting in on the Tennessee River — and we wanted apparel that looked like it belonged to that world instead of generic outdoor-brand gear.
Our Story
Every Smoky Threads design starts as original artwork, not clip art or a generic mountain silhouette pulled from a stock library. We draw on actual East Tennessee landmarks, trail culture, and the kind of dry humor you hear at a trailhead after a hard climb.
Nothing gets printed until it’s ordered. Each shirt is made through print-on-demand fulfillment, which means no warehouse full of unsold inventory and no guessing which sizes will sell out.
